Sod
Sodding is the replacement of your lawn or the creation of a new grass area. The benefits of sodding vs. seeding is the immediate results, and the removal of all undesired growth. Since the dispersal of weeds is caused by the wind, regular maintenance is required with any grass area. If you want grass without maintenance, consider Artificial Turf.
The first step in our sod process is to remove the existing lawn, anywhere from 1/2 inch to 4 inches. Then, we import fresh ultra soil (incl. soils, manure & wood chips) spread to grade, and place fresh cut Kentucky Bluegrass, primarily sourced from Zander Sod Farms. We roll the laid sod to ensure bonding with the soils. In areas with lots of shade, we will apply generous amounts of shade-friendly grass seeds that will slowly take over as the Kentucky Blue will fade away.
We take great pride in our sod projects and always make sure our grade and final product looks the best in the city. All you have to do is browse our portfolio to see this.
Always remember to water frequently. That being said, we at Ravasco understand that many people don’t have time in their busy schedules to water as much as necessary. This is why we always recommend an irrigation system to be installed along with the new grass.
